Lakes Area Theatre (LAT) in Alexandria offers the following productions this week:
Daily Show 'expert' John Hodgman to speak at U of M, Morris
Come enjoy a night of silliness and laughs at “That is All, An Evening With John Hodgman” on February 11 at 8 p.m. in Edson Auditorium at the University of Minnesota, Morris.
‘The Ice Fairy’ to be performed on LAT stage 
Winter has turned normal just in time for a story titled, The Ice Fairy. This children’s fantasy will be presented on the LAT stage on Friday, January 20 at 7 p.m.

This classic episode is based on the long-running comic strip by Chic Young and was originally broadcast in 1939. Dagwood has a $500 bonus. Blondie would love a new icebox and Dagwood is dreaming of a new car. How will they afford both? With Blondie’s wit and Dagwood’s determination, anything could happen.
‘Daughters of Africa’ presented by Mixed Blood Theatre 
Minneapolis’ Mixed Blood Theatre’s production of Daughters of Africa will be performed on Tuesday, January 24 at 6:30 p.m.
Looking back 150 years at the Dakota Sioux uprising 
The Runestone Museum in Alexandria is sponsoring a series of speakers in recognition of the 150th anniversary of the 1862 Dakota Sioux uprising.
