Commentary - Commissioners provide 2011 summary
The county board accepted the Transportation Plan for the county. Acknowledged appointment of Karen Simmons, Douglas County library director. Accepted the Highway Study done in cooperation with the city of Alexandria. Approved three grant applications for improving Brophy, Curt Felt and Runestone parks. Were informed that 30,000 home-delivered meals had to be cut from our region. Accepted the report of County Health Rankings – excellent.
