County giving away energy-saving bulbs
Want to save on your energy bill? Here’s a bright idea: Get a free compact fluorescent light (CFL), courtesy of Douglas County. The county received 1,000 CFL bulbs last week for winning a national “Change A Light” contest – an honor given to just six counties in the United States. It did it by gathering the most pledges from residents and county employees who agreed to replace their regular light bulbs with CFLs.
