Former Detroit Lakes teacher and longtime Elbow Lake resident Marvin L. Oppegaard, 82, of Moorhead, died Saturday, March 21, 2009, at the Eventide Lutheran Home in Moorhead. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday, March 26, at the United Lutheran Church in Elbow Lake, with the Rev. Bob Toso officiating. Visitation will be held at the church for two hours prior to services on Thursday. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Detroit Lakes.
