Sorry for your loss. That's not an easy place to be and then be rejected. If they didn't have room then they should have found a place that did have room. I think a big problem is that people don't take depression and suicide seriously until it's too late. People so often blow it off when a person speaks of suicide or ending it. Thankfully there are some sweet, amazing people who are there for others, but it seems most don't take the person's pain seriously. And, that only contributes more pain to the overwhelming feelings they have already.

I can't believe that this isn't already a law! How can a place like this turn anyone away?
