Thanks for addressing the run-off issue, Alexandria. An ounce of prevention can save a lake. It is time all govermental units do what they can for prevention. The Minnesota Water Sustainability portion of the new 3/8% sales tax will amount to $75 million dollars a year. Do you want to spend it on clean up or prevention? The money is there and it will be spent if one likes it or not. The Water Resources Center is conducting listening sessions throughout the state to address the surface and ground water issues. It is a whole lot cheaper to prevent than it is to correct. To allow so-called developement without serious consideration of the environment is pure and simple, Greed and stupidity! There are also currently millions of dollars of other goverment money being spent to clean up, what could have been prevented.
