I also wondered what the agrument was that convinced the commissioners to vote against it. Or at least who it was that made the argument. I assume they did not get up and say "We do not like honoring veterans"!! Where is the crack journalism team on this one??

I understand Mr. Krals' disappointment in the possible shelving of the trail project to honor veterans. It sounds like much time and emotion was invested. I am curious though as to why he didn't go into more detail as to the reasoning behind the residents' opposition to the project. I am sure that they are very appreciative of their sacrifice to insure our liberty, and I highly doubt they are against honoring veterans. There's got to be more to this issue.
