That is what I was wondering, Kay. Maybe this person is so evolved that he/she doesn't eat?

I guess I was wrong, upon further investigation...Alan did farm, and lost it because of some trouble with the Federal Government over the ownership of some grain. It resulted in some serious rulings on that abuse of the system. Sad to note that he was FOR subsidies, before he was against them. With food prices the way they are and the even higher foodstamp recipients, it would appear that slashing farm subsidies could have dire consequences for ALL of America. "Don't bite the hand that feeds ya" folks. That has always been good advice.

And you want people to take you seriously as a candidate? LMAO@ a fool. Keep on pushing those farm-hate letters Alan...just how far has it got you? You would like to drop the subsidies. UMMM Didn't you realize that they indirectly subsidize EVERY FOOD consumer in this country? Take them away and watch the price of your gallon of milk triple...cheese go thru the roof, and Quaker Oats, won't be quakin' in your bowl. Without price supports, people just might need life-support to get over the shock of how much their food costs when and if the farmer decides to put the screws to people like YOU. You best not hope that they get fed up enough and dump their milk instead of selling it to LOL or KEMPS. Please tell me, how long America will go without it's meat and potatoes, it's milk and cheese and it's addiction for SUGAR and FLOUR based treats? You are a fool if you continue down this path, you are attacking the wrong end of the political animal. Of course, you, wanting to be a politician, can't realize the ANIMAL first in line for a rude awakening is DC. You are seriously chasing the wind...blatheriing on about elite farmers. Good luck with your angle...IMO, you are preaching to a deaf choir. Consumers don't want to pay more for farm goods and the cost of producing those farm goods often match or excede what those raw goods sell for. Of course, to someone who's never sweat a fertilizer or seed payment, then worried about the weather, or spent a sleepless night worrying about their herd, I can see how it's possible that someone could take a look at some reports and think that they have the solution of a lifetime in the palm of their hand. "Just cut them off". Why not get out there and put some callouses on those hands instead of wasting time wringing them and dreaming of an opportunity that won't happen. Knock the pillars out and you will feel the WRATH from all angles. Consumers do NOT want to have to pay more, and farmers don't have to produce at all. Is it your ultimate goal to IMPORT our food? I don't need to look far to see countries totally vunerable, and dependant on imports. Haiti comes to mind...impoverished, and reliant on 80% of their food imported. So, in conclusion, my advice to you is that you DROP the anti-farm bit and focus your attention on all those congress critters using tax dollars to bribe legislative votes on the floor. Should I go dig up some PORK...not the real pork, but that other "pork". It bought votes, it bought constituent support and it greased squeaky wheels. It didn't help a struggline part of our economy stay in business...it built tunnels for turtles and rehabed marshland for a mouse.
