Wow, talk about a bunch of hypocrites! That frisbee golf was shut down, the skate park was shut down. But now that there's some $$ to be made, there's all kinds of 'ideas'. If there were as many places to get outdoors and DO something, as there are fastfood joints, it might make a difference. What? 2 McDonalds? 2 Dairy Queens? 2 Burger Kings? 4 Subways? And heaven only KNOWS how many pizza joints? And how many public parks that don't even have a set of swings? Just picnic tables..........

Perhaps some of the folks that have tried to navigate Alex by foot or bike, could give them suggestions. About a yr ago, I walked from the Ford dealer in town, over to the Mall. I found it to be rather dangerous. Auto traffic is not used to seeing walkers in that area. There must be other areas similar to that. Also......could there be more "earth friendly" walking paths around our city lakes, for recreation and fitness??

nice to know they wasted the first 1/2 of our grant for nothing. Now will the 2nd 1/2 cover everything? Nope I doubt it. Gotta love political b.s. at work
