Another newsworthy story America's state run media must have inadvertently overlooked. I can't help but wonder what my ol' pal Kerry H's thoughts are on this not so surprising revelation. He was so SO certain that all the global warming junk science, nothing more than a giant redistribution scam, was sound. Obama's jaw-dropping economic illiteracy will be the next “the king has no clothes” revelation. But then again, there are none so blind as those who will not see, so who knows if he (or any leftist) would ever admit to either... http://www.telegraph.co.uk/comment/columnists/christopherbooker/7113582/Amazongate-new-evidence-of-the-IPCCs-failures.html

The honest mistakes made by journalists are great for an occasional light hearted chuckle. But when one considers the ridiculous and growing absence of ideological impartiality in your sorry excuse for an industry, that's where the real (not quite as funny) joke lies. With all due respect, how can anyone with anything remotely close to a conscience call themselves a "journalist" in a professional culture best described as having a “slobbering love affair” with the anointed and untouchable one, PBO? When card carrying Democrats trust FOX News' integrity over that of CNN, MSNBC, and all the state run networks (ABC, NBC, & CBS) I think we just may have a bit of a journalistic integrity problem. Ya think? http://www.publicpolicypolling.com/pdf/PPP_Release_National_126.pdf http://newsbusters.org/blogs/rusty-weiss/2010/01/31/obama-continues-break-promises-media-ignores

Don’t feel bad. One time when applying for a job, I claimed to have good writhing skills. Needles to say I did not get the writing job. And, don't forget to use your sight to cite the site.

Celeste points out something that I am finding more and more common. Spell checkers built into modern day software programs don't correct writers that use the wrong word, and it won't highlight that problem because the mis-used word is spelled correctly. Spell checkers also allow folks to become dependant on them instead of working in their spelling skills. My kids are lazy when it comes to working on their spelling, they think that the spell checker will be there to correct them if they are wrong. At their ages, the things they misspell, I certainly wouldn't have, all because in my day, we still had to rely on the dictionary and you didn't run to it for every big word (more than 5 letters). Gone is the art of penmanship, more and more of their work is required to be typed...hence that spell checker does the spelling for them. We have also become less sensitive to typos and poor grammar thru the creation of various media methods where it is not strictly inforced. I find many articles in national publications with errors that have escaped the editor's eye. It's pretty common.
