There was a certain yellow-headed weed (not dandilions) that grew in the park kitty-corner from where I grew up in the '70's. I have some of that same weed (still don't know what it is) growing in some of the high-traffic areas on my own property now. Every time I walk through those weeds they let off a scent that puts me right back to pick-up baseball games at that park. Or walking across that baseball field on the way to te pool at that park.

And who can forget the crisp smell and feel of sheets that were dried on the clothesline?

When I was a kid- The smell of Sunday afternoon at grandma's house was like heaven.-(I'm pretty sure that's what Heaven will smell like.) The smell of the first snow of the season was like your first A&W rootbeer float. The smell of the first spring day when you could ride your bike again was like freedom filling your nostrils. When I was a little older,-(ok, a lot older) and living in the South, riding my motorcycle down a highway out in the country on a humid Summer night, and smelling the Honeysuckles is something that cannot be explained, it has to be experienced. Thank's, Dennis for the trip down memory lane. You brought back some good memories. BTW- Yes, I remember the smell of the purple ink, and the feel of the pages when they were "cool " off the press. I almost forgot to mention, Dennis, every time I go to the library, and smell the pages of an old book that I am reading, it brings me back to that first day of elementary school when we got handed our books.
