Everyone does PROFILE something or someone EVERYDAY. Those with the guts to admit it get called racists, and those that don't are perfectly happy giving up their freedom of speech to keep their mouths shut.

Hey Al, if you were looking for a good chocolate chip cookie recipe, which one would you ask first? Of course, I wrote this in an attempt at humor, but the more I think about it, I realize we "profile" each and every day in a very innocent way.

Steve what your suggesting smacks of profiling. If your on a plane and you see a 75 year old grandmother from Miltona and a Muslim looking man of 25 you'd probably think the Muslim man should be watched more carefully than the grandmother from Miltona. Now that is profiling! lol

The real people who stop these attacks are the folks riding on the plane with this nut. Quit expecting government to provide all the security and answers for this problem. Next time I suggest the passengers who have the guts to stand up to these people do more than just subdue him. Terrorists want body counts "ours", give them something to count, "theirs".. This country has defended itself before mostly on someone else soil. These people have shown a willingness to attack us on our soil, defend it or loose it We need to enable the real freedom fighters, the American citizen because a lot of us are sick of the slap on the hands. You can't reason with terrorists, you do what they do, kill them.

A man violated the airport security system to kiss his girl friend goodby. He's going to jail the government employee was told to be more watchful in the future. Sounds as if the government was taking security breach more seriously the government employee would have been fired.

Another difference between 9/11 and Christmas bombings and the faliure to connect the dots in both cases: The missed signs before 9/11 prompted new systems, programs, and structures that were supposed to FIX that hole. What happened?

could you immagine if the underwear dude from x-mas day were to have happened under g.w.bush? the lib's would have demanded his head on a platter. the media would have done thier usual. and the left,, well they would have preached to the ends of the earth. president obama makes the statement"i'm not going to put up with that" meaning the break down in security..now your probably thinking that the lib's, media, and the left are all the same,,,well in certian ways they are but they are different. bottom line the guy from the netherlands, or where ever he's from, his the guy who should get a metal. jumping on the guy must of had something to do with messing up mr. underwear's plans. it was a close call.

Comparison to the media's idea on Bush vs. Obama on terrorist attacks.--- The media lambasted Bush for "not doing anything" to thwart the 9-11 attacks. Then the media reports after the Christmas episode said "Obama is demanding answers". Oooohhhh. Media says- "Bush is a wimp, Obama is tough on terrorism." How dumb do they think we are? Less than a year in office, and we have Ft. Hood and this Christmas episode. Yeah... We are a lot safer now with the visionary in chief in charge.

One has to wonder how a guy who "has to raid his retirment account" should feeel qualified to comment on economics and mismanagement. Unless, he relies on others to administer his decisions and planning. Then, is qualified to judge the job they are doing.
