I find that the little random acts of kindness in our daily lives to be the sunshine even on a dreary day. Most often, it takes little effort, and perhaps little expense to "pay it forward". It most certainly doesn't take much effort to bid someone a "good day", nor is it a hardship to share a casserole with a shut-in. If we open our eyes, it's not all that hard to recognize those around us who would appreciate being on the receiving end of some sort of kindness.

My idea of kindness... I choose by myself which charitable organizations to give to. The Govenment should not do that for me. I see neighbors who need help, I choose to help the ones that I feel "need" it the most. The Government should not do that for me. I am smart enough to make my own decisions. The Government can't even balance their own budget, but they will tax me even more, just to make up for their shortcomings. I have to cut back when I can't balance my budget, there is nobody that I can take from when my spending is frivolous and irresponsible. Even when times are tough, if I find someone with needs more than me, I choose by myself to help out, I don't take from someone else, just to give to someone else, and then take the glory for it. I have no hidden motives when I give to someone in need, no votes required, no publicity in mind. I do it out of kindness. I don't do it to buy anyone, only treasures in Heaven. That is my idea of kindness. One thing I believe is that the person in need who least thinks they deserve something from someone else, is the most deserving.

" Just been very busy lately fulfilling the American Dream for those who deserve it more than me." ---That comment was tongue in cheek, of course... :)

b.a.c.- I'm not AWOL, and just because a free-thinker who does his homework agrees with someone, that does not make them a "trooper". Just been very busy lately fulfilling the American Dream for those who deserve it more than me.

In 2010 I resolve NOT to ever again assume that the moonbats might actually know something about which they talk. In less than one year they have proven to me that it is absolutely impossible. I have come to the conclusion that they genetically lack any measure of common sense, and the ability to reason. The unfolding of the following debacles: 1) Health care reform. 2) Cap and tax. 3) Man-made, Global Warming, C02 gloom and doom. 3) The Terrorist, or (as dylan prefers to call them) Freedom Fighter trials in New York City. 4) The moving of Gitmo to Chicago, and last but not least, 5) Obamas' "War" on Man-Made Disasters., have set the stage for 2010. Hopefully those who currently ride the political fence (b.a. c.) and perhaps some on the left, excluding the most rabid of moonbats (dylan) will finally see how catastrophically wrong they have been. In 2010 I also resolve to fight even harder to get CONSERVATIVES in office. They appear to be the only ones with the intestinal fortitude to clean up the mess we are in...and yes...I do expect a moonbat to reply with the standard, I have no clue how to lead, Obama excuse: "It's all Bushs' fault." So fasten your seatbelts folks. The ride through 2010 is going to be a bumpy one. Unfortunately, unless we do something about it (via the mid-term elections), it's only going to get worse. Hang this on your fridge.

Troops? Geez, I take time off to enjoy my kids and their holiday vacation from school, and get LABELED. I guess bac is part of the conspiracy theory that Gretchen still clings to. Wake up and smell the coffee, I am not "just another" one of Jerry's monikers, nor am I a militant or part of any "TROOPS". Perhaps some folks need to falsely label and dehumanize others to feel superior. Sad. I am just as human as any other person that either reads or posts here and it's a pity that a limited few choose to remain steadfast in attack mode. Politics as usual, I guess.

Put it to a vote, b.a.c. I don't have any troops. Never have had any troops. When it comes to annoying little gnats, however, the meter readings go off the charts when measuring your attitudes - even when you are flip flopping and riding the fence. Al made some light and sarcastic comments and you just took a shot at her for no good reason except to be an @$$. And YOU have the nerve to refer to ME as an annoyance? Look in the mirror ....
