Personally, I think it's a great thing that you and many others did not vote for him. Thanks! :-)

"In the last presidential election, the Republican nominee also supported Cap and Trade." Then it's a good thing I didn't vote for him, huh?

Kerry H - That is why many conservatives are fed up with the Republican Party. They continue to promote individuals who appear no different than the democrats they are running against.

Amos A - Peterson voted for Cap and Trade. Who was he listening to then? Certainly not his constituents.

Suitably opaque, Section 2006 takes up only a few dozen lines in a sweeping health care bill that runs to 2,074 pages and mentions neither Sen. Mary Landrieu nor her state of Louisiana. But the section's purpose is indisputable: to deliver $100 million or more in federal funds to the state. And in the process clear the way for one of three moderate Democratic fence-sitters _ Ben Nelson of Nebraska and Blanche Lincoln of Arkansas are the others _ to help propel the legislation past its initial hurdle in a crucial Saturday vote. Nelson, Landrieu and Lincoln emerged several days ago as the last public holdouts among 58 Democrats and two independents whose votes Majority Leader Harry Reid and the White House must have to overcome the Republicans' attempt to strangle the bill before serious debate can begin. http://www.newsmax.com/headlines/us_health_care_overhaul/2009/11/20/289267.html

I had to respect the lone dissenting republican vote on the health care bill in the House. ........ He came from an area that was primarily FOR the bill. He did what he was supposed to do in our republic and cast his vate for his constituants. Isn't that a refreshing concept? ............ Collin Peterson represents mainly RURAL Minnesota. I believe his constituants are primarily against the bill. That means he, too, did what he was supposed to do in this great republic. ........... Sorry to see Terrance will no longer vote for someone who is doing what they're supposed to be doing.
