Well Patty, at least it would give them something productive to do for a change and get their focus off destroying our country. I'm sure you saw the same humor when Hillary blasted Pres Bush for not making sure the vacinations were available for the bird flu during his administration.

Scary that anyone would think the administration is "running" a vaccination program. I can see it now, President Obama with an eye dropper filling the little vaccine bottles as the cabinet members screw on the caps and get ready to package and mail them off to clinics around the country.

This administration can't even administer a vacination program, but they should run healthcare?

Mike, based on the fear mongering about the h1n1 epidemic by the federal government and the inability of them to get people vaccinated, this obama administration is a dismall failure. If the media was against him, this would be Katrina x 10. How many people died as a result of mismanagement by fema? A handful? How many have died as a result of incompetance by the administration in regards to h1n1? 5 thousand or so and counting? It sure makes a difference in who is in control when it comes to the MSM reporting.

Buck, Don't be so hasty. We just saw a spurt in H1N1 fatalities. The government just changed the method of reporting cases. That seems to be a popular method this year. And make note, the rate of new unemployed has slowed. Just as a leak in a bucket tapers off as it drains. Why, there's even talk of deemphasizing "cap and trade" next year. At least until the 2010 elections are over. Sure don't want any backlash to affect public opinion before an election or on an economy that can't be blamed on GWB

This spurt was just a sugar high fueled by more federal debt. It did not create sustainable jobs. Some of it was just handouts and some was for infrastructure. Infrastructure jobs are one time projects. If they really wat to create jobs, give small busniess tax cuts and capital spending credits. Wait until after Christmas and see how the country is looking. How can it be a real recovery with the unemployment still going up?

Kerry, I would love to believe that we are climbing out of the recession. If we have a consumer based economy it is going to be difficult to make headway with the huge number unemployed that won't be buying goods. What worries me is the fact that we could just be seeing the effect of the stimulus money that was pumped into the economy and when that runs out we could be in real trouble.

As our great country struggles to dig out of this recession, it's good to hear any news that points to a recovery. Let's all hope that the economy continues to improve over the next few months and companies once again start hiring workers as demand increases for their goods. For the good of the nation, here's to continued economic growth over the next several months and beyond!
