steve w., are the people in big government the ones you voted for? Could it be that "they don't listen to us" is because 'us' aren't the ones who elected them? Is that why they seem to be 'arrogant'? Could it be that the people who 'bury their heads in the sand' are satisfied with what their elected officials are doing?

You are right Dale and others. Government has gotten too big, and they don't listen to us anymore. We need to vote out the arrogant ones that vote along their own agenda, and forgot who they work for. Not to change the subject, but this pertains to what you all wrote. Even though many Americans know that we need healthcare reform, the majority of Americans oppose the healthcare bill that "our" U.S. House approved tonight. The sad thing is, like you all wrote, many people will bury their heads in the sand, and just let them do what they want. It's a very sad thing when complacency takes over, and the people give their power to the bureaucrats. We all need to remember, they work for US. WE hire them, and pay their salaries. If they don't listen to us, we need to hire someone else. That's what our bosses would do in the same situation, right?

How do you think the township will pay for the costs incurred?
