Maybe if they put it out on the interstate we could find out. :-)

I'll let somebody else see how high it can go, I haven't been pulled over in about 6-7 years and I want to keep it that way. It still didn't make me want to slow down, I knew how fast I was going, I don't need a sign to tell me. I think it's more of a hazard than anything.

Good question, Chris! Why not give it a try, say between one and two tomorrow afternoon? I'll be sure to have my scanner on to hear the results!

I seen this thing the other day and the first thing that popped into my head was "I wonder how high it reads?" So does it cut out at 99 or can it go 3 digits?

Left of Center makes a good point. If the occupants had not worn them, would they have survived or would they have been ejected through the windshield and into a light pole? About 15,000 lives are saved every year due to seatbelt use. 15,000 to 2. I'll bet with the odds.

In the Fergus Falls crash last week both deaths were proven to seat belts the driver belt damaged the kidneys and the rear seat passenger died of a punctered esophagus .Seat belts saves lives.. Seat belts take lives. Now, you be the judge.!!

sounds like the seatbelt was worn improperly. And if the person died as a result of the seatbelt sounds like speed was a factor and probably would have had different fatal injuries as a result of not wearing it. The seatbelt is not a magical devise that will ALWAYS save you in a crash.

At Fergus Falls last week, two were killed in a two car crash. One occupant died as a result of the seat belt puncturing the esophagus. Seat belts saves lives... Better rethink that.
