In these troubled times we need simplicity....? How about, in these times, we need to embrace change and optimism, and turn our heads away from the critics and endless pessimism. I am thrilled to see a new eating experience in Alexandria!

Congratulations Kevin and Connie!!!! Great place to go! And, even if it wasn't - I sure wouldn't be rude enough to talk trash about ANY establishment in this manner. If you don't like a place - then don't go and SHUTUP!

Expensive menu,...Alexandria is not ready for expensive eating places. We have and had for many years good eateries that served good food at decent prices, we are satsified with the service. Why change it ?

We do not eat "fast food" or bad food. Whiskey Creek was lousy. The food did not taste good. We went for the evening meal and were not given a drink menu, had a loaf of bread thrown on the table a good 20 minutes before any food arrived, received our salads without dressing and they were all wilted and disgusting. The food itself was unimaginative and tasted very bland. I find it insulting that anyone would think that because a person found that food completely uninteresting that they did not appreciate good food. To the contrary, we EXPECT good food for those prices and did not receive what we doled out good money hoping to find.

Oops. I "sent" before I was ready. My comment was in response to the comment made by Daniel F which I copied and pasted into my comment below. I have been in the kitchen at the Tennessee Roadhouse, watched the rotation of the different types of wood being fed into the absolutely beautiful wood burning range/barbecue. Beautiful. The wood is stored in an enclosed space. You wouldn't leave wood out in a "woodpile" when you plan on using it for commercial barbecue.

You do not keep wood that you are going to cook food over OUTSIDE. There is a separate building where the wood is kept enclosed. I have been in the kitchen and seen the amazing wood burning ranges and witnessed the rotation of the special woods they use for the barbecue. I had lunch there yesterday with my husband. Lunch special was good and reasonable. I ate off the menu, also very good and priced right for lunch. Service was, as has always been our experience, very good. The interior decor and colors are very pleasing. I'm anxious to see the outside when they are finished. If all a person likes is fast food then they will never think outside the box long enough to appreciate something new and different. We love variety. Hats off to the Cunninghams for moving forward and thinking of ways to enhance our community.
