Hm, interesting. I like it better by Roger Miller but everybody has different tastes. It is just a great song. In fact, Kris K is a fantastic song writer.

No, David E., I didn't say that Dylan can't carry a tune, I said that many songwriters like Kris Kristoferson can't carry a tune. I think that Kris only hits a couple of notes. Very monotone. Dylan can carry a tune if you can deal with the sound. I like several of his songs. Used to have Lay Lady Lay on 331/3 does that date me. LOL

Now, I know what you say is true. But for some reason Kris K's voice didn't wear on me as much as Dylan's. Maybe it all goes back to that $3.98 I spent on "Freewheelin'.

There are many successful song writers that just can't carry a tune. They must hear it in their heads! One that comes to mind is Kris Kristoferson... Hasn't everyone heard his songs and that man just stinks as far as being a singer.

Yes, Dylan is a very gifted man whether you like the sound of his own voice or not. He wrote many wonderful songs and one that comes to mind is Blowin in the Wind. I think darn near anyone with any age to them knows the words to that song.
