Jerry, before you continue your attack on me and add some more names to call me, please go back and read my post at 2:33 p.m. You may feel the need to apologize for your most recent post after doing so. Or, at least the need to retract it.

Kerry.......this is a quote from you......" If some posters are so intrenched (entrenched sic) in bias and politics that is completely disables their abilities to be truthful, fair, and just, then why, I ask, do we even try to discuss anything. How can a discussion be civil if only one side answers questions and others just distract, dodge, ignore, and avoid?"...........to which "bias" are you referring when stating this?

Isn't it "telling" that Kerry singles me out by name but does not cite Gretchen or Lou for what they do - BY &*^&% NAME????? Which is worse? Calling someone who is obese "fatty" or falsely accusing me and others as being liars, bigots, homophobes, racists, etc., etc.?????? Explain THAT to us, self-righteous and sanctimonious Mr. Pomposity!!!!!!

Exactly the thing that Kerry has been talking about all afternoon....one poster, so certain of his immunity, posts whatever he likes. Continously on the attack, rarely contributing anything to any discussion, usually ending anything constructive. No regard for any other posters, just the ongoing attacks against the ones he considers enemy's.

Oh well, it was a good discussion while it lasted. Thanks for the kind words CJS, BAC, etc... I think we all know there are some posters on here that never will allow the Echopress Comment Section be a venue for civil discussion. The identities and personal lives of posters are far too important to some so that will always and forever eclipse their ability to discuss issues and topics. I guess, as Mike has shown us, we can choose who we want to hold discussions with, what questions to answer, and on what threads to post. Ignore, distract, and dodge.

Looks like "denial" is no longer just a river in Egypt. How do you account for the fact, Momma Z., that your IP address and Lou's IP address and Rush L.'s IP address are all exactly the same, using QWEST in Minneapolis????????? Are you renting a room to someone named Rush L.???????

LL L, point taken. But, I ask you remember your admonishment against badgering when posters are being hounded to reveal personal information like revealing their identities. I ask you remember your admonishment against badgering when posters are continuously and unwaveringly attacked and called names. I ask that you remember your admonishment against badgering when posters' spouses and other family members are brought into the discussion, when their marriages are questioned, when their job locations are revealed. If my pressing for mike to answer a direct question that in no means threatens his way of life, but only asks him or anyone else on the right to admit that there are some in their circle who are guilty of wrongdoings constitutes the evil and horrible act of "badgering" then so be it. It makes no difference anyway. There is absolutely no hope for this comment section if only a few are willing to make a difference. If some posters are so intrenched in bias and politics that is completely disables their abilities to be truthful, fair, and just, then why, I ask, do we even try to discuss anything. How can a discussion be civil if only one side answers questions and others just distract, dodge, ignore, and avoid? So, if my asking mike to answer a direct, simple question is so wrong, then I apologize. But, if it is so wrong that you felt the need to call me out, can I expect the same from you when posters on the right badger, insult, and personally attack dylan or Rush? Will you be so vocal against Jerry H when he calls someone "fatty"? Will you jump into the conversation and defend dylan when Steve calls her a "Bitch"? Or when Mike or others suggest someone's husband married her for a green card? Or how about when someone asks a poster if her husband, a Muslim, has blown anything up yet? Or do these posts not warrant your action. Or, are they not as bad, in your opinion, as 'badgering'?
