Well, Dennis, I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one! It seems that almost every time I get in the 'shortest' or 'express' line, I invariably end up behind someone who has some kind of problem. Either the creditcard won't work, they don't understand the scanner, or they need to write their life story on a check, and then balance the last five or six entrys. That's why I quit going to Fleet, because I ALWAYS got in line behind some farmer who had to fill out 47 pages of paperwork to avoid paying a three dollar sales tax. The other day, I was at Menard's, and had to wait while an employee bought something or other, all the time sharing the latest gossip with the clerk. I'm generally not in all that much of a hurry, but at 55, my feets DO get a little tired.
