Actually Amos Ive spoken with Ira Einhorn which is the owner of the development company that bought the mall and she states the stores arent getting the heads up they need to come in. So far magpie has been added and they are talking about another womans clothing store. Also about the bathrooms - it is all wired up for the old sports minded location and also the old section in the middle of the mall. All they would have to do is open the doors and update. But I am talking about trying to make it a place that the community needs which is an arcade (safe place for the kids to go) and then a small play area for little kids so moms can have a day at the mall and let their kids play. Or even a few of the mechanical rides that they took out years back.

Jess, As far as the parks go? I don't know what to tell ya. As far as the mall goes? It is my thought that the new owners are trying to attract new retailers (that will attract more shoppers) in there by making it more visible and cleaning it up a bit. They also may have new retailers nibbling to get in there. Lastly, I'm pretty sure new bathrooms could be in the plans too, if they can get the water and sewer where they need to be.

Is this the place to post a comment not related to the ep? I hope so because I am not sure. Id love to know why noonans park still looks so bad and why we have nothing very nice to take a bunch of toddlers to - in the local area to play? The only parks that I consider nice are st marys and zion for toddlers but why cant we have a nice public park for our kids that is nice and updated like that. We were able to use those alittle in the summer when school was out but now that school is back on those two parks are private because they are school property. Also is it just me or is the mall very very downhill? They claim to be doing updating by - making a new sign and making the mall visable but what they dont understand is we all already know its there. Most people just choose not to go because it is so run down it isnt funny. The mall is not what it used to be. We need better stores, more stores, a nice jcpenny that carries more items, something nice in the thrifty white building, a nother large dollar store, a many sporting store like scheels or something, footlocker, something that will bring people into there. What about a playplace for children or even an arcade again? A nice fresh interior paint job? Even a new set of bathrooms would be nice. Please let me know what you all think.

It is a concentrated effort to stuff ACORN under the bus and sit at the bus stop until the heat runs out of gas. If it takes a turn for the worse..the bus is poised for a complete getaway for the higherups. I find it incredible and intellectually dishonest if Pelosi didn't know anything about the ACORN issue. In other words, no knowledge of it's overwhelming passage to defund it in the Senate. This one is the Speaker of the House? It would be nice to FOIA some emails from her staffers...they most likely do visit blogs around the net. It's impossible to miss...

Rush - point out the PROVEN scandals involving those organizations that have not already been recognized by the media and addressed by the powers that have control/influence over them. When you can identify those situations, then you might have something comparable to the ACORN mess.

rush.......I didn't read a "frenzy" of ACORN posts here, yet I can see why folks are upset about them though..........spending our taxpayer money like they do, and being so dishonest.
