Seems to me that they have disproved the claim that it will be paid for and also the claim that it will save $2K+ for people. The White House claimed those things. Some things just are NOT TRUE. I don't care to argue, Kerry, one way or another about the bill. All I am saying is that I do NOT approve of sending private emails to anybody in the White House. I find it downright creepy! Just my opinion and you are welcome to your opinion.

I am not crazy about anything that gives the gov. too much control, Kerry. I feel that it is a slippery slope. Not accusing Obama of anything. What I am saying is that I don't like the idea and I think getting us to all snitch on each other over small things may lead to more and more things. It is the way that gov. goes bad. Getting the general public to rat each other out on things. This is NOT necessary. He can get that information without the rat system. If he can't then that is tough because I am not turning in my mother for sending along an inappropriate email. You can do whatever you wish. I am just stating my opinion. I don't like it.

LL L, that is just bunk. No one is told to send emails of people who disagree with the administration. How many times do I have to explain this? If something is received that appears to be a lie or a misrepresentation and you want it cleared up, you can forward it and if it is a lie, it will be addressed and corrected. And truth about what is in the proposed legislation is not fluid. Either it is in it or not. Death Panels: Lie. No matter who is saying it. The White House is ATTEMPTING to have a truthful debate but it seems there are people on the right bent on spreading lies because they can't win a debate any other way.

The president has no plan. There are several proposals being kicked around. His statements change as often as the wind changes. Maybe, no public option. maybe, keep your old plan. maybe pay with more taxes, maybe with savings. maybe, he should tell pelosi that he is in charge, not her. Maybe, he should read the bill before we get to close a look at it.

bac, you are absolutely right about Sunburg, a town that's been around for what, 130 years? And there are other towns like that all over the U.S. And we want families who came here within the last 20 years to be completely assimilated into all aspects of our culture? And what parts of their culture can they retain? Religion? Architecture? Language? Food? Holidays? Or do we just allow that for the cultures that came here previously? What are the rules? Are they the same for everyone or not?

I wonder how many of us posting here would want our emails sent to the White House. Not me. I don't need anybody monitoring what I say because they disagree. The truth is dependent upon whose truth you are hearing. We are already seeing where one person's truth isn't another person's truth and even the White House version is faulty. We have people that monitor these things and dig out the facts--the White House version isn't lily white either. I am not sending anything to anybody. You guys do whatever you please because none of you are on my email list anyway. LOL

to suggest that mike j go back to his ancestors' homeland is not what I meant. Never said nor suggested anything of the kind. Didn't even think it. I suppose it will become the truth as some repeat it enough though.

b a c, is there a law that says they must speak norwegian? Do they require their contracts be written in norwegian? There are schools being told to teach in other languages. Banks are adjusting loan conditions, Building are being modified BY LAW to adjust for people who won't adjust. I dare any of our crusaders to go to those other countries and DEMAND they accomodate them. The very conditions they fled, they want to continue here. The TIZA academy in Inver Grove heights is being sued by the ACLU for a number of things, and now they are playing the race card, so they are willing to use some of our customs.

LL L, how did you feel about the warrentless wiretapping and the library records searches? Big Brother enough? But asking people to send in their myths and hoaxes about a debate so they can be directly addressed and dispelled is bad? So, letting the White House know that you got an email falsely claiming the president's plan includes "Death Panels" and you would like it cleared up so you can make an informed decision based on fact instead of the lies being spread by some on the right is akin to Big Brother? Give me a break!
