Wrestling: Osakis' Coyer brothers are champions

Led by individual championships from Brendon and Trenton Coyer, the Osakis wrestlers opened their season with a second place finish at the Sauk Centre-Melrose Invitational Friday, trailing only Class A’s No. 3 ranked Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg in the team standings.
Both Brendon, 106 pounds, and Trenton, 113 pounds, were undefeated in the tournament.
The Silverstreaks also had second place finishes from Ryan Engfer at 126 pounds and Garret Scherr at 285 pounds, while Mitch Sunder was third at 195 pounds and Peter Hagen was third at 220.
Brandon Spanswick, 182 pounds, was fourth, while Colton Waldvogel, 120 pounds, was sixth.
Osakis will be hosting Ottertail Central tomorrow, Thursday, and will be at the Shakopee tournament on Saturday.
Next Tuesday, the Silverstreaks will host a triangular that will bring Eden Valley-Watkins and Long Prairie-Grey Eagle to gym.
