Jazz and gospel trio joins central Square concert series
The Central Square Concert Series X will present the Jevetta Steele Trio on Saturday, December 8 at 7:30 p.m. in the Historic Auditorium in Glenwood.
The Central Square Concert Series X will present the Jevetta Steele Trio on Saturday, December 8 at 7:30 p.m. in the Historic Auditorium in Glenwood.
Steele is a gospel and jazz music singer originally from Gary, Indiana, but she has made her home in Minneapolis for the last several years.
Her most famous song is “Calling You” from the movie Bagdad Café. She has recorded and toured with legends such as Prince, George Clinton, 10,000 Maniacs and the gospel group The Steeles, comprised of members of her equally talented family.
Steele will perform with two other Twin Cities musicians on drums and guitar. Her concert repertoire will include Broadway show tunes, gospel, jazz and holiday favorites.
Tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for students. Reserved seating can be made by calling the Central Square Box office at (320) 634-0400. Tickets will also be available at the door.
