Senator Bill Ingebrigtsen, R-Alexandria, will serve as
assistant minority leader during the 2013-14 legislative session, Republican Leader David Hann announced.
“Senator Ingebrigtsen serves Minnesota with passion and balance,” said Hann. “He will bring a thoughtful and wise common-sense perspective to our decision-making process.”
“As we start a new session, there will be new leadership and legislative plans,” Ingebrigtsen said, “but I plan to continue to represent the core values of the people who sent me to St. Paul and protect their tax dollars as well as I can.”
Ingebrigtsen, who was recently elected to his third term as state senator, has served in a variety of leadership roles in the minority and majority caucuses, most recently as assistant majority leader and chairman of the Senate Environment and Natural Resource Committee.
Ingebrigtsen is a retired sheriff. He and his wife Marilyn live in Alexandria.
