O. Henry and Oh No! at Lakes Area Theatre

Lakes Area Theatre (LAT) in Alexandria is offering the following productions this week:

ON STAGE

LAT begins its holiday-themed shows this Friday, November 16 at 7 p.m. Taking the stage is the radio adaptation of The Gift of the Magi. This show is based on a time honored short story by O. Henry.

The show is directed by Keri Mohror and stars Carrie Larson, Scott Giannone, Sue Justice, Kip Sundlee and Keri Mohror. Karen Gladen is providing the music, with Jamie Sandberg performing the sound effects.

ON THE AIR

LAT was recently visited by a talented voice acting troupe from Minneapolis. Playwright Richard Liedholm wrote and directed the first episode in the children’s series Dancer, Inc. entitled “The Eye of the Angel.” Four young people go through a mysterious portal in a closet to solve a mystery in a museum of Egyptian antiquities.

All the action can be heard on KXRA 1490 AM Sunday, November 18 at 12:30 p.m. The show stars Alanna Worrall, Claudia Peterson, Breanna Peterson, Jackson Peterson, Jeb Worrall, Richard Liedholm and Jana Worrall. Providing sound effects are Janeen Burow and Jana Worrall.
