Romance reigns this week at Lakes Area Theatre

Little Women has been read as a romance or a quest or both. This enduring story of four sisters and their maturing has been depicted on stage and screen.

Lakes Area Theatre (LAT) in Alexandria is offering the following productions this week:

ON STAGE

Little Women has been read as a romance or a quest or both. This enduring story of four sisters and their maturing has been depicted on stage and screen. LAT presents a special one-hour radio theater production of Little Women on Friday, November 9 at 7 p.m.

The show is directed by Ann Hermes and stars Kara Gerdes, Keri Mohror, Isabelle Hartokolis, Paige Mackedanz, Scott Giannone, Jamie Sandberg, Jon Provance, Karen Gladen, Irene Pratt and Bruce Wegner. Kent Garlinghouse will provide the sound effects with Bob Piotrowski on the keyboard.

ON THE AIR

A random wish to be forever young and beautiful is granted to Mrs. Moonlight. This is a two-edged sword for her, as her husband and daughter age and she doesn’t. The ramifications are lifelong.

Mrs. Moonlight will air on KXRA 1490 AM on Sunday, November 11 at 12:30 p.m. Directed by Claudia Bursch, the show stars Kara Gerdes, Tim Long, Sharon Thalmann, Mary Pohl, Rachel Capistrant, Zack Blashak, Jon Provance and Daniel Roers. Music is by Bob Piotrowski with Kent Garlinghouse performing the sound effects.
