With the holidays fast approaching, Avon is starting its annual Gund Children’s Community Service Project, according to Mary Becker of Alexandria, Avon sales representative.
For several years, thousands of underprivileged, abused and ill children across America had brighter holidays because of this project. It was made possible because of caring Avon customers and local business owners.
Becker’s goal is to reach 500 needy children in the community with “Curly the Bear.” With every $20 donation, a soft, cuddly and plush 21-inch Curly the Bear will go to a special child, making his or her holiday a little brighter or hospital stay a little friendlier.
Customers can choose where they’d like the bears to go or Becker will deliver it to one of the organizations with which she is working. The bears will be delivered in a gift bag with the business’ name on the tag as the gift giver.
Those who know of a business or group that would like to donate their time or money for this cause may contact Becker at (320) 760-2138 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
