League of Women Voters to hold kick-off meeting

The kick-off membership/informational meeting for the newly formed Alexandria Area League of Women Voters (LWV) will be held on Wednesday, November 14 at 5 p.m. at the Douglas County Library meeting room.

The kick-off membership/informational meeting for the newly formed Alexandria Area League of Women Voters (LWV) will be held on Wednesday, November 14 at 5 p.m. at the Douglas County Library meeting room.

A light soup supper will be provided, information about the league will be offered, ideas for future meeting topics sought and a portion of a movie about the suffrage movement will be shown.

Both men and women are welcomed as members. Come learn about LWV and about how to participate.
