Learn about the difficulties children have with worry and focus

In both workshops, specific mental health disorders will be covered. However, the emphasis will be on understanding, preventing and responding effectively to children’s behaviors.

The month of November brings workshops that will teach about children who worry and children who have difficulty with focus.

With an emphasis on supporting and promoting the healthy social and emotional development of young children, these workshops will address the cause, course and prevention of some of the most challenging behaviors.

The first workshop highlights the worries of children and will be held on November 15 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Alexandria Technical and Community College (ATCC), Room 208.

The second workshop will illustrate the difficulties children have with focus and will be held on November 29 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the ATCC, Room 209.

In both workshops, specific mental health disorders will be covered. However, the emphasis will be on understanding, preventing and responding effectively to children’s behaviors.
