Top performing companies understand that organizational strategies must focus on creating and delivering value, not simply cutting costs to advance growth and promote prosperity. That was the message that Donnelly president Ron Kirscht delivered on October 18 at “Leveraging Operational Excellence to Achieve Growth,” an Enterprise Minnesota event at the offices of Trusight in Plymouth.
Kirscht shared Donnelly’s story and key operational insights with other Minnesota business leaders, providing an in-depth look at the practices and processes Donnelly’s people have forged and credit for their success.
Donnelly, a short-run manufacturing company, has become known throughout the industry for its consistency of purpose and well-conceived business processes. Donnelly also champions employee training and lean manufacturing concepts.
Kirscht, well-versed in business planning, guided discussion participants through Donnelly’s journey. He used lessons from real world events to illustrate how planning, people and resources can be best aligned with a business growth strategy to improve company-wide processes, elevate performance and build culture.
