Letter - Franson stands up for the little guy
I know politicians always talk about “standing up for the little guy” but I’m actually a “little guy” and Mary Franson really did stand up for me at the Capitol last year.
To the editor:
I know politicians always talk about “standing up for the little guy” but I’m actually a “little guy” and Mary Franson really did stand up for me at the Capitol last year. As the owner of a small child care business, Governor Dayton tried to force me into joining a union without even letting me vote. Mary led the fight against this overreaching policy and we were able to block it in the courts temporarily.
Because Mary stuck her neck out on this controversial issue on behalf of small business owners, she is being targeted for defeat by the unions and special interests who will certainly try this tactic again. Her opponent will eagerly join them in this effort to limit freedom and kill jobs.
I do try to pay some attention to our representatives and I’m not in Mary’s district, but am very thankful for her help on this and other issues and do encourage everyone to vote for her.
