Letter - Dutcher is endorsed by the NRA

To the editor:

I am a hunter and a gun owner. I am also a proud member of the National Rifle Association. Every election year, the NRA endorses candidates that are committed to defending the Second Amendment.

This year, the NRA has endorsed Scott Dutcher for the state Legislature. The endorsement reflects Dutcher’s strong stance in defense of our Second Amendment.

I have heard Scott Dutcher speak about the importance our founding fathers placed on our right to bear arms. He understands that this right has been placed in our Constitution along with our freedom of speech and religion and it deserves to be treated the same.

The NRA’s endorsement was based on a candidate questionnaire. Scott Dutcher received an “A” rating on the NRA questionnaire. His opponent, Jay McNamar, received a “D” rating.

The choice is clear for hunters and sportsmen in Western Minnesota – Scott Dutcher for the Minnesota Legislature.
