Robert Broderick, 64

Robert Dennis Broderick, 64, died Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at St. Cloud Hospital.

Bob was born September 17, 1948, in Williston, ND, to Eugene and Ruth (Evans) Broderick. The family moved to Fargo, ND, then to Moorhead, MN, where he graduated from high school in 1966. Bob attended Moorhead State University for a short time before entering the U.S. Navy in 1968. Following his discharge in 1974, he returned to the area and received a degree in electrical engineering from NDSU, Fargo.

Bob was married to Mary Harbison for a time. He married Terri Anderson on December 7, 1985 in Fargo. Bob was a partner with Maier Engineering, Fargo, from 1978 to 1992, and then assistant general manager at Dakota Electric in Farmington. He served as CEO of United Power in Brighton, CO, from 1997 until he retired in 2011. Bob and Terri moved to Lake Vermont, near Parkers Prairie, later that year.

Bob is survived by his wife, Terri; their four children, Katie (Josh) Astrup and their children, Jonah and Ben, Fargo, Dane Anderson, New York City, NY, Andrew (Nikki) Broderick, Chanhassen, and Laura (Dave) Hoenack and their children, Gus and Nova, Minneapolis; two brothers, Dick and Jim Broderick; three sisters, MaryAnn (Michael) Castro, Betty (Tom) Brown, and Joan (Charlie) Kohlmeyer; and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration service for Bob will be held Friday, November 2 at 2 p.m. in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.

Visitation is Friday, November 2 from 1 to 2 p.m. at Korsmo Funeral Chapel. Memorials are preferred to the American Heart Association. An online guestbook is at www.korsmofuneralservice.com.
