Early voting available to hunters away from home on Election Day

Minnesota's absentee voting law makes it easy for hunters who plan to be in the field on Election Day to make their vote count on Tuesday, Nov. 6.

Minnesota's absentee voting law makes it easy for hunters who plan to be in the field on Election Day to make their vote count on Tuesday, Nov. 6.

More than 100 municipalities in 11 Minnesota counties offer early voting during their normal weekday business hours. Early ballots also can be cast at your county auditor’s office during normal office hours.

State law requires that county auditor’s offices be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for absentee balloting on Saturday, Nov. 3. Auditor’s offices also must stay open for absentee balloting until 5 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 5.

Complete details and a list of municipalities that offer early voting are available on the Minnesota Secretary of State’s website at www.sos.state.mn.us/index.aspx?page=211.
