Lakes Area Recreation to offer dog obedience training

Lakes Area Recreation (LAR) is offering dog obedience training for basic obedience, rally obedience and therapy dog training starting October 29 and 31.

Lakes Area Recreation (LAR) is offering dog obedience training for basic obedience, rally obedience and therapy dog training starting October 29 and 31.

Basic obedience classes will include socialization, basic obedience and, when appropriate, behavior problems. Only “gentle and reward” training methods are used.

Classes are held Monday evenings from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the LAR gym.

Rally obedience picks up where basic obedience leaves off. Therapy dogs visit people in a variety of settings such as nursing homes, schools and hospitals. These classes are held Wednesday nights at the LAR gym.
