Letter - Vandalism causes anger and sadness
The vandalism done to the Alexandria City Park rest rooms makes me very angry and very sad.
To the editor:
The vandalism done to the Alexandria City Park rest rooms makes me very angry and very sad.
I’m angry because a dedicated group of citizens worked very hard to get that facility built. It was paid for mainly by donations from individuals and local businesses. It was built by students from the carpentry and masonry departments of the Alexandria Technical College, with much in-kind labor and materials from members of the Vikingland Builders Association.
I’m sad because many donations were given as memorials to loved ones. This truly was a community project.
