Douglas County residents urged to keep an eye out for burglars

The Douglas County Sheriff's Office received seven burglary reports yesterday.

The crimes appear to have occurred during the daytime hours and in several different areas around the county. At each home, doors were pried and forced open. Inside each home, rooms, closets and drawers were gone through but minimal items were reported missing.

The sheriff's office also received a report of a man with a gun walking around a seasonal residence off County Road 11. The individual was not located and it's unknown if this incident is related to the burglary calls.

The sheriff's office urges the public to be on the lookout for any suspicious or unusual activity and report that information by calling (320) 762-8151.
