Newly formed Lincoln Choir seeks performances
Group is booking community performances
Looking for some entertainment for a meeting or social gathering? There’s a new group in town, and they’re ready to sing for you!
The Lincoln Choir is a group of 26 5th and 6th grade students from Lincoln Elementary School (LES) in Alexandria.
They meet every Tuesday and Thursday after school to rehearse under the direction of Kayla Noble, a 2011 Concordia College graduate and music teacher at LES.
Through the assistance of Steve Dietz, Jefferson High School choir director, the Lincoln Choir will be caroling this winter around the Alexandria area and performing the National Anthem at various athletic events.
The group will also perform at the 2012 Jefferson High School Christmas Concert. They will be featuring a few solo pieces, as well as working collaboratively on a piece with the high school choirs and orchestra.
If you have an event in need of some music, contact Noble via e-mail at knoble@alexandria.k12.mn.us.
