Out and About: Concert and rally for Lee Byberg

A concert and rally for Republican U.S. House candidate Lee Byberg packed the house in Alexandria with country music singer Lee Greenwood.

The artist who made God Bless the USA famous was the Sunday night headliner at an event for Byberg, who is making his second challenge to Democratic U.S. Representative Collin Peterson.

The Greenwood concert was the final in a tour of Byberg’s Northern Lights Freedom Chorus. Byberg’s campaign estimates Sunday night’s crowd at the Lake Geneva Christian Center topped 2,000.

“It was amazing and inspiring. We had a fun night. Lee Greenwood was great. And the crowd was enthralled when Lee spoke about his commitment to promoting freedom in America,” said Liz Gorham, Byberg’s campaign manager.
