Caring Hands Dental Clinic of Alexandria recently received funding from PrimeWest Health to purchase portable dental equipment for mobile outreach clinics to serve children in west central Minnesota.
The outreach clinics will bring hygiene services, such as cleanings, X-rays, fluoride treatment, education and exams, to areas where dental care is not readily available or transportation issues exist.
Caring Hands provides dental care and education to citizens served by Minnesota Health Care Programs including Medical Assistance and MinnesotaCare.
Caring Hands began in 2006, with local volunteer dental professionals providing dental care and education to citizens in need. Recently, due to demand, Caring Hands hired a complete staff of dental professionals in order to serve more people.
The clinic, located at 700 Cedar Street in Alexandria, provides all general dentistry services including cleanings, exams, X-rays, fillings, root canals, extractions, sealants, fluoride, partials, dentures, and more.
PrimeWest Health, headquartered in Alexandria, is a Minnesota Health Care Programs health plan owned and governed by the 13 counties it serves. For more information, visit www.primewest.com.
