Sgt. Justin Barnes graduates from San Diego school
Sergeant Justin Barnes, a 2001 graduate of Jefferson High School in Alexandria, graduated from the USMC Drill Instructor School in San Diego, California on September 19.
Sergeant Justin Barnes, a 2001 graduate of Jefferson High School in Alexandria, graduated from the USMC Drill Instructor School in San Diego, California on September 19. Sgt. Barnes recently transferred from his fire/rescue/EMT unit in Yuma, Arizona, to his present position of a U.S. Marine recruit drill instructor at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot in San Diego.
Sgt. Barnes served a tour in Iraq in support of Iraqi Freedom and returned in April 2012 from deployment to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
Sgt. Barnes, his wife, Joslyn, and 2-year-old daughter, Lilly, now reside in San Diego.
