UCare announces new Medicare plans for 2013

UCare, Minnesota’s fourth-largest health plan, announced changes and enhancements to its UCare for Seniors Medicare plan available throughout Minnesota and in 26 western Wisconsin counties in 2013.

In Minnesota, UCare is introducing a new medical and prescription drug coverage option called Essentials Rx to its existing Classic, Value, Value Plus, and Standard D option.

Ghita Worcester, senior vice president of public affairs and marketing for UCare, believes the new plan has more choices and preventative health features and offers a higher quality of value.

UCare for Seniors is a Medicare Advantage plan serving more than 93,000 members with Medicare Part A and Part B (by age or disability) who live in the UCare for Seniors service area.
