WCA cross country: Fernholz leads WCA runners in Park Rapids

The West Central Area boys and girls ran to sixth and seventh place, respectively, at the Park Rapids Invitational cross country meet Monday.

The Perham boys, who are ranked No. 1 in the State Class A poll, finished first overall, as did the Perham girls.

Leading the way for the Knights was Kylee Fernholz, who finished sixth for the West Central Area girls. Teammate Abbey VanKempen was right behind in seventh place.

Alex Toms led the Knight boys with a 21st place finish.
