To the editor:
On November 6, those of us living in District 12B can choose a competent team of candidates for Minnesota Senate, John Schultz, www.SchultzforSenate.org; and House, Rick Rosenfield, www.rickrosenfield.com. John has experience in farming, finance and small business. Rick’s forte has been manufacturing management.
John owned and operated Hickory Ridge Farms, a 900-acre registered cattle and grain operation in Big Stone County, and has been named Minnesota Conservation Farmer of the Year. He formed Ethical Investments Inc., a small investment advisory service in Minneapolis, counseling people interested in socially responsible investing. And, he has directed major non-profit development efforts such as the Center for Victims of Torture.
Rick has had a 40-year career in manufacturing management; the last 34 years at Douglas Machine. He’s the founder and 20-year member of Andes Tower Hills National Ski Patrol, and has been a horse breeder and member of the American Quarter Horse Association. He, too, is a conservationist at heart, being married to Art Engelbrecht’s daughter, Jeanne.
Please vote for these two qualified candidates who both feel money should not be borrowed from school funding to balance budgets, and who want to restore LGA.
