Some exciting news has been broadcast from Lind-Rite Precision in Osakis this month.
Effective September 21, 2012, Osakis residents Dan Kotek and wife, Stacey, and Marilyne Morisette and husband, Albert, are the new owners of Lind-Rite Precision Company.
Newly named President Dan Kotek has been involved in machining since 1989. Through the years, he has worked at all levels of the business including: machine operator; machine setup/programmer of the CNC machines; supervisor; estimating; purchasing production manager; scheduling; customer service/sales; and operations manager. Kotek joined Lind-Rite in April 2005.
New Vice President Marilyne Morisette joined Lind-Rite Precision in May of 1993 in the accounting department. As the company grew, so did her responsibilities, which included office manager, accounting, human resources and purchasing departments.
In 1987 in a double garage in Alexandria, Rodney Femrite and Jeffery Lindner had the idea and drive to start a screw machining operation, named Lind-Rite Precision to reflect the founders’ names.
They realized that excellent customer service and quality would be a key to success, and those two elements remain the company’s focus today.
Lind-Rite has experienced continuous growth over the years and in 2006, the company moved into a new 22,500 square foot facility in Osakis. Lind-Rite Precision now has 37 full-time employees and has increased their capabilities with CNC milling, CNC turning, and CNC Swiss machining.
The change in ownership will not affect day-to-day operations. Kotek and Morisette said they are committed to the success of Lind-Rite and intend to retain previous customers while adding new and exciting options to the mix.
Lind-Rite Precision Co. is taking steps to update the facility and atmosphere, they said. They said they’ll continue to connect with employees, one-to-one.
Lind-Rite is known for machining tight tolerances and complex parts. Its customer base includes the medical, construction, automotive, printing and many other industries.
Lind-Rite is ISO 9001:2008 certified and upon customer request offers Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).
Over the years, Lind-Rite has established a tradition of fast response and frequent communication with customers.
