Kids had fun identifying different types of squash.
Families were also invited to take their children to the farm to get their hands dirty while helping to plant garlic, take up mulch and put the fields to bed for the winter.
Located 18 miles north of Alexandria, Ploughshare Farm is a community supported agriculture (CSA) operation that grows a variety of organic vegetables and fruits on 160 acres of soil bordering the Chippewa River.
