Alexandria Concert Choir to perform at special choral festival

The Alexandria Concert Choir was invited to participate in a special choral festival featuring the world-renowned conductor, Dr. Craig Jessop.

The festival will be held in Upsala on Saturday, September 29 from 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. It will feature select singers from around the area including the Alexandria Choir, Brainerd High School Choir and the St. Cloud State University Choir.

Jessop earned a doctorate of musical arts in conducting and performance practice from Stanford University in 1980. Formerly serving as a lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Air Force, Jessop now serves as the director of the National High School Choir Festival held at New York's Carnegie Hall.
