Football: Brandon-Evansville defeats Ortonville 20-14
Zach Carlson accounted for all three touchdowns as the Brandon-Evansville Chargers picked up a 20-14 win over Ortonville Friday.
Carlson scored on runs of 3, 1 and 20 yards and rushed for a total of 138 yards on the night.
“Tonight was a total team effort,” said head coach Tim Pattrin. “The line opened up some great holes for our backs and our backs fought hard for the extra yards after contact.
“Defensively, we had many players step up and make a difference. We had a lot of guys coming in and out of the game, and they all were doing their job, no matter who was in the game.
“We are going to savor this win, learn from the film and get ready for CGB,” he said.
Billie Juul finished the night completing six of 13 passes for 70 yards. He also threw three interceptions.
Clayton Stotesberry led the Charger defense with 9.5 tackles and nine assists.
Friday’s game is homecoming for the Chargers.
